We are qualified in journalism, marketing and PR, which means we can consult on all aspects of communication strategy. When we first meet a potential client, our priority is to find out as much as possible about their market, competitors, strengths, weaknesses and objectives.
The next stage is to complete further research and analysis before presenting initial recommendations. It is only at this point that we can begin to narrow down what services are required.
Usually a client will bring us in specifically to overhaul their marketing function, giving it direction and structure before considering outbound marketing activity. Following a comprehensive audit, we then develop a strategy and bring in specialist partners where needed. This tends to work on a project basis, although it frequently turns into a longer term relationship.
In the past we have been asked to specifically consult on PR, only to find that the company is not ready for press exposure (for example, the sales force hasn’t been ready to deal with an increase in leads). In such cases we have recommended postponing PR until the issue is resolved, rather than launch a campaign prematurely. We aren’t yes people.
